In 2009, Hubert and Michèle Lihrmann built and opened a French café in Alberton named after him and his conquest.
The compass and the French royal coat of arms presented in the logo symbolize Jacques Cartier explorations, and are an invitation to a culinary journey and the discovery of a light French cuisine prepared with local products.
