Municipalities of West Prince

West Prince region encompasses a total land area of 1,110 square kilometers.  The region is home to six very distinct communities: Alberton, Lennox Island, Miminegash/St. Louis, O’Leary, Tignish and Tyne Valley. West Prince can be seen as a community of communities, with 12 municipalities in total and each having their own individual identity. The people themselves are a cultural mix of Acadian, Irish, Mi’kmaq and Scottish and combine to make a population of just over 15000 residents. Our main industries flourish from May to October in agriculture, fishing and tourism.
