Kees Kennema is originally from Holland with a background in Agriculture and Business. Kees has many years of plant breeding experience and seed research in grain crops. One of his first jobs was at a Plant Breeding Station as a research coordinator for 9 years. He tested new varieties of cereals, corn, grasses, and turnip’s and traveled world-wide in developing new products.
Sabina Kennema, originally from Switzerland, her education consists of floral design, botany and creating products. Sabina has worked her whole life in the floral industry and has made 100’s of decorations from fresh roses for hotels, gardens as a professional florist. Sabina starred on CTV noon news clips for 17 years giving gardening tips.
Sabina will also be leading four seminars every Saturday the month they are open beginning at 2 pm. Topics will range on easy gardening, attracting butterflies/hummingbirds, growing vegetable gardens, how to look after planters and how to maintain flowers during the season. The Kennemas are also encouraging people to bring their planters to them and they will gladly plant them for any customer. And, if the customer wants, the couple will keep the planters for a week until the roots are down, to give that flower or vegetable plant the best start possible.
